The Challenge: A Young Studio Stretched Thin
Suwanee Clayworks is a thriving community of artists founded in early 2024. While passionate about their craft, the owners were stretched thin operating the studio and leading classes. Their initial website didn't meet their standards, and they had no time for marketing. They needed a strategic partner to grow their community and streamline class sign-ups, turning their passion project into a sustainable business.
Phase 1: Immediate Impact through Brand Clarity and Social Media
Our partnership began with the foundational step of defining a clear and consistent brand voice. We established a tone that was fun, encouraging, and community-focused to guide all communications.
To create immediate momentum, we applied this new voice directly to their social media channels. By increasing the frequency and quality of their posts, we generated an instant boost in engagement, re-energized their existing audience, and began to build a more active online community from day one.
Phase 2: Updated Visual Identity and Digital Foundation
With the brand voice established, we architected and built their new digital home: a Squarespace website focused on a clean user journey and a simple e-commerce experience. Along with this, it was important to update the studio’s visual brand identity to both reflect its brand voice and ensure the site met digital accessibility standards (WCAG AA). From its launch, the site was built with a foundation of continuous SEO optimization, targeting core keywords like "pottery classes near me" to capture their primary local audience and establish a long-term asset for discoverability.
Phase 3: Data-Driven Innovation
It was through this ongoing SEO and data analysis that a powerful new opportunity emerged months into our partnership. We noticed a consistent, secondary stream of local searches for "date night ideas." In response to this data, I proposed a new service offering: the "Pottery Wheel Date Night." The studio launched the event, and it quickly became one of their most popular classes, especially among those not already familiar with the studio, creating a significant new revenue stream.

Results and Impact: From Momentum to Major Expansion
The result of this multi-phased, integrated strategy has been transformative:
3,030 website visitors in April, 2025
Facebook content interactions up 100%
Instagram content interactions up 100%
This digital success translated directly into much higher class enrollment and a thriving local community. This growth has now culminated in the studio launching a major expansion to more than double its physical space.
Our partnership continues to evolve. We are now embarking on a new phase of public relations and media outreach including strategic award submissions for the studio's artistic director to support this next chapter of growth and solidify its reputation as a center for creative excellence for all experience levels, from those just exploring pottery and ceramic crafts to hobbyists/enthusiasts to professionals.
"People noticed as soon as Alex took over our digital marketing. Our engagement and reach have gone up, and our new website is a great platform for us to continue to grow our community online. We highly recommend Alex and The Tracy Agency for your marketing, branding, and web design needs!”
